Like many working parents, life was busy—really busy. When my two oldest kids were little, I worked full‑time outside the home while my husband traveled for work. Between schedules, responsibilities, and real life, there just wasn’t much time left for driving from field to field for sports practices.
We did give soccer a try when my oldest daughter was four and my son was three. My daughter loved it. My son? Not so much. He was far more interested in being the coach than listening to one. Focus during practice was tough, attention spans were short, and honestly—I wasn’t heartbroken when we decided outdoor sports weren’t our thing. (Spending hours in the sun was never high on my list anyway!)
Everything changed a few years later.
When my kids were about 5, 8, and 9, I stumbled upon a small indoor gym that offered programs for all three of them. One hour a week. One location. I could even bring my laptop and get some work done while watching them thrive. That’s when I saw something incredible happen.
My son discovered the Ninja course.
It wasn’t fancy. It was small and almost looked homemade—but it challenged him in exactly the right way. For the first time, his ADHD wasn’t a barrier. The course didn’t require learning a full game or waiting long turns. It was one obstacle at a time. One win at a time. Each small success built confidence, focus, and pride. Watching him light up on that course was a moment I never forgot.
After COVID, our family moved to the San Antonio area. I searched for that same kind of gym—the one with heart, community, and an authentic Ninja program—but couldn’t find it. Even as my kids grew into their teen years, I knew how powerful that experience had been for them… and how many other kids could benefit from it too.
That’s why we made the decision to bring USA Ninja Challenge to San Antonio.
Our goal is simple: to give kids a place where they can find their sport, build confidence, and feel successful—one obstacle at a time. This gym isn’t just about physical strength; it’s about focus, resilience, and discovering what you’re capable of.
We can’t wait to welcome your family into ours.
